The Gillissen family from Benthuizen has set up a wonderful campaign for William Carey Missions. Together they will cycle a total of 150 kilometers.
What exactly is your plan? We, Reinier and Marjanneke Gillissen, will cycle a total of 150 kilometers together with two of our children. In total we will be away for 5 days. Three cycling days of 50 kilometers each.
On the first day we cycle from Benthuizen to Leerdam. There we sleep 2 nights in a tent.
On the third day we cycle via Gorinchem and along the Biesbosch, on the Werkendam side, to Dordrecht. There too we sleep 2 nights.
On day 5 we first take the water bus to Alblasserdam, and then head back home via Kinderdijk, Lekkerkerk and Berkenwoude.
We hope to leave on July 18 and return home on July 22.
What is the goal? We would very much like to raise money through sponsorship for the “De Olijfberg” (Monte de los Olivos) project in Quevedo. Specifically, it concerns a large canvas tent that can be used for activities on the project grounds.
