Driven by the Great Commission – William Carey Missions was born out of a shared passion for missions. A group of committed Christians from various churches decided to join hands, driven by the command that the Lord Jesus gave just before His ascension:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:19)
This command forms the foundation of our work. Proclaiming the Gospel and providing teaching—not only through words, but also through a life of service and love for our neighbor. Discipleship is central: teaching people to walk in God's ways and helping them put their faith into practice, so that the Gospel becomes tangible in their daily lives.
The name William Carey Missions is a reminder of William Carey, the pioneer of reformed faith missions. Although our field of work is different, we share his vision: promoting Bible translation work, inspiring churches toward missions, training local evangelists, and demonstrating social engagement within the context of mission. His dedication remains a source of inspiration for us.
William Carey Missions is not a church institution and does not fall under any specific denomination. It is a faith mission movement—driven by the calling to spread God's love and truth wherever He opens doors.
