The heart of De Olijfberg: A team that builds together – At De Olijfberg, everything revolves around collaboration and dedication. Much of the work is done by local volunteers who give their time and talent as club leaders, kitchen helpers, homework tutors, and in many other valuable roles. In addition, paid staff are active in maintenance, construction, cleaning, and administration, keeping the project running smoothly.
In addition to these dedicated Ecuadorian workers, a Dutch family also serves at De Olijfberg. They are responsible for overall leadership and guidance, support the team, and help shape the mission of the project.

Peter Fris
Project Leader & Pastor
Peter Fris, together with Marije, leads De Olijfberg with faith and vision. He combines technical insight with spiritual guidance to make projects purposeful and sustainable. His work brings hope, knowledge, and connection to the community. Peter also serves as the pastor of the Christian church.
Joel Basantes
Homework Tutor
