ANBI Status
As of July 13, 2021, the William Carey Missions foundation has been designated as a public benefit organization (ANBI β a Dutch tax status for institutions serving the public good). An institution can only qualify as an ANBI if it devotes itself almost entirely to the public interest.

To be designated as an ANBI, a foundation must, among other things, meet all of the following conditions:
- Be entirely focused on serving the public good.
- Must serve the public interest with 90% of all its activities.
- Have no profit motive across the whole of its activities that serve the public interest.
- The foundation and the people directly involved with the organization must meet the integrity requirements.
- The remuneration for policy-makers is limited to an expense allowance or minimal attendance fees.
- The foundation has an up-to-date policy plan.
- The foundation maintains a reasonable ratio between management costs and expenditures.
- The organization complies with its administrative obligations.
- The organization publishes specific information on its own or a shared website.
