Start of Work at "Divino Salvador"
On Sunday morning, October 10, a special service was held in the "Divino Salvador" congregation in Quevedo. On that day, Peter and Marije Fris, missionaries of William Carey Missions, were officially welcomed as leaders of the congregation. Peter will (just as in El Camino) serve as pastor/evangelist. Marije will focus on youth and children's work as well as women's ministry in the congregation.
During the church service that Sunday morning, two children of members were also baptized. In the "Divino Salvador" congregation, baptism is always done by immersion—including for children. It was a special and joyful gathering.
