Youth Center Reopened
Today the children’s and youth center at De Olijfberg has started up again, to help children with their homework. Every day they receive a bit of Bible teaching and guidance. Due to the summer holiday (which in the coastal region of Ecuador runs from March to April), the center has been closed in recent weeks.
The staff look at what the children need and in which areas certain children are behind. Today, for example, two children aged 10 and 11 received extra tutoring in reading. Given their age, these children should already be able to read, but they receive no tutoring or support in this at school.
