Festive opening of the primary school
A festive milestone for De Olijfberg 🎉
Today, Monday 4 May, after long and intensive months of preparation, was a special day for De Olijfberg: the primary school was officially and festively opened!
Together with the 50 children and their parents, around 150 people gathered to celebrate this important moment. The program began with the introduction of the teachers and the singing of the Ecuadorian, Dutch and Israeli national anthems. We also presented the school song (which is important in Ecuador).
In prayer we asked for God's blessing over the new school year. The highlight was the cutting of the ribbon, together with the children, followed by a delicious celebration cake. 🥳
We are especially grateful to the Lord for this wonderful day. From Tuesday 5 May, the real school days begin, full of expectation and confidence.
