The Den Heijer Family
The Den Heijer family, sent out to Ecuador earlier this year on behalf of the Reformed congregation of Benthuizen and William Carey Missions, is returning to the Netherlands.
After a period of reflection, the Den Heijer family has decided to focus at this time on a season of recovery in the Netherlands, following an intensive period and concerns about their health. They have indicated that they will not be returning to William Carey Missions’ “De Olijfberg” project in Quevedo, Ecuador. As a board, we are grateful for what Nick and Nynke have been able to mean for the project in recent months.
The return of the Den Heijer family is a difficult decision, both for themselves and for us as a board and as fellow workers. On behalf of the board of William Carey Missions, we wish the Den Heijer family God’s indispensable blessing and guidance for the future, and a safe arrival in the Netherlands.
